iTx Technologies is proud to present its open source jQuery Archives Wordpres plugin to the community!


The jQuery Archives plugin allows you to display your Wordpress posts in chronological order (newest to oldest) on a per-month and per-year basis, in a cool accordion-like fashion. You don't get it ? A picture is worth a thousand words !

How to install

  1. Download the jQuery Archives plugin
  2. Install the plugin or unzip the content into your wp-content/plugins/ directory

How to setup

  1. Create a new page template called "jQuery Archives", for example.
  2. Inside your loop where the content of your page is displayed, insert , like in the follwing example :
    Template Name: jQuery Archives
    <?php get_header(); ?>
    <div id="content">
    <?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
    <div class="post" id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>">
    <h1><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
    <div class="entry">

    jquery_archives(); ?>

    <?php endwhile; ?>

    <?php else : /* NO posts */

    endif; ?>

    <?php get_sidebar(); ?>
    <?php get_footer(); ?>

  3. Create a new page in your Wordpress admin, and choose the jQuery Archives template.
